Bangkok

The real beauty of Beijing, and something which you might not get to quite the same degree in other Asian cities, is the way in which you feel like you are landed in the genuine culture and history of the country itself. While in many Asian cities you get the feeling of being in a bustling modern metropolitan, Beijing will not make you feel this way – but therein lies its true charm. In some respects, you will find it harder to get around than in many other Asian cities, what with nobody local speaking anything other than their own language, but it is exactly this which makes it a true traveller’s dream come true. If you are looking for a slice of real China, and real Asia, then Beijing can probably provide it for you in spades.
